Your First Visit
Congratulations! You have made the first step toward a perfect smile. You will be amazed how orthodontics can enhance smiles and self esteem, and also improve dental health.
Your first visit to our office will be a very unique experience, and you will realize that this is no ordinary office. Our professional and friendly staff will gladly provide you with one of our many convenient consultation appointments so that you may discuss your needs with Dr. Ossi. You will then receive a welcome letter, map to our office, and information to help you get acquainted with our office.
When you arrive, there will be a warm greeting awaiting you. We guarantee that you will be seen on time. We know that this is something uncommon in the health care profession, but we have a desire to respect our patient's time. You will be given a short tour of our office followed by a series of digital photographs of your teeth so that Dr. Ossi can review the benefits of orthodontics with you. We have arranged 45 minutes for this appointment so please have all of your questions ready. Dr. Ossi and his team will not rush you through this experience because they thoroughly enjoy their spending time with each patient.
Treatment Time and Cost
Treatment time and cost is determined by the severity of the problem. The average treatment time at Dr. Ossi's office is about 20 months, with a range from 8-30 months. With good cooperation, Dr. Ossi rarely goes beyond the estimated treatment time. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins.
Payment Options
We provide a couple of payment options to suit different budgets, which will be discussed with you in detail at your first visit.
- Full payment - If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
- Multiple payments - Financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
Insurance
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the available coverage. As a courtesy, we will accept the assignment of the insurance to lower your payment. Most insurance policies are accepted even if we are not on your list. If you are not sure of your benefits, please call and ask one of our friendly staff members.
Regular Appointments
After Dr. Ossi applies the braces, he would then like to see you at regular intervals of 4–6 weeks for the duration of treatment. For your convenience and to avoid having to miss school or work, these appointments start as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 4:00 p.m.
