Your First Visit
Congratulations! You have made first step torward a perfect smile. You will be amazed how orthodontics can enhance your smile and self-esteem.
Your first visit to our office will be a very unique experience. From the moment you call, you will realize this is no ordinary office. Our experienced and friendly staff will gladly provide you with one of our many convenient consultation appointmentments so that you can discuss your needs with Dr. Ossi. You will then receive a welcome letter, map to our office and information to help you get aquainted with our office.
At your first vist there will be a warm greeting waiting for you upon your arrival. You will also notice that you will be seen on time. We know this is something you are not use to, but we have a tendancy of respecting our patient's time. You will be given a short tour of our office followed by a series of digital photographs of your teeth so that Dr. Ossi can review the benefits of orthodontics with you. We have arranged 45 minutes for this appointment so please bring all of your questions. You will not be rushed.
Treament Time and Cost
Treatment time and cost will be discussed with you at your first visit.
Treatment time is primarily determined by the severity of the problem. The range of times for orthodontic treatment is typically 10 to 30 months. Average treatment time at Dr. Ossi's office is about 20 months. With good cooperation, Dr. Ossi rarely goes beyond the estimated treatment time.
The cost of treatment is also determined by the severity of the problem but also the quality of care and outcome you will receive. Other additional benefits include: very experienced, friendly and professional staff; being seen on time; few emergencies; short appointments; being updated on progress; finishing treatment on time; access to your account online and having a good time getting that perfect smile.
Payment Options
We provide three different payments options to meet your budget's needs:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
- No interest monthly payments over the course of treatment.
- Extended monthly payments with interest (extended beyond treatment time).
These options will be discussed in detail with you at your first visit.
Insurance
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the benefits you have available. As a courtesy, we will accept the assignment of the insurance to lower your payments. Most insurances are accepted even if we are not on your list. If you are not sure of your benefits or have any questions, please call and ask our insurance specialist, Michelle.
Applying the Braces and Regular Appointments
The appointment when you get your braces placed usually takes 1 ˝ hours. You will then see us at regular intervals of four to eight weeks for an adjustment, which takes 15 to 30 minutes. The majority of your appointments will consist of regular adjustments so we reserve the most popular times for these appointments (early morning and late afternoon). For your convenience, we start these appointments as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 4:00 p.m. so that you will not miss school or work.
