Michelle Avery

Office Manager

Michelle joined the practice with five years of dental experience. She is a multi-talented and reliable person who has been with the practice since the day of opening. "I love working with patients in achieving the best orthodontic experience imaginable in a smooth and fun way! It is rewarding to see our patients excited with their treatment results as their self-esteem is enhanced."

Michelle describes Dr. Ossi as "fun and understanding with children. He laughs and jokes with them and also takes the time to recognize their accomplishments."

Jamie Taylor

Clinical Supervisor/Trainer for New Assistants
Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Jamie is a gentle and detail-oriented assistant who has also been with the practice since day one. She enjoys being part of this team since Dr. Ossi "always puts the patient's needs first. He only recommends orthodontic treatment when the time is right. Patients appreciate his honesty and true concern for them. When treatment is complete, Dr. Ossi's results are consistent, SPECTACULAR!"

Lauren Jordan

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Lauren is a soft-spoken and attentive assistant who is Jamie's sibling, not twin sister as many think! She likes the office environment for it is a place where "our co-workers are like family. It feels like it is home away from home. This passes on to the way we treat our patients. We like to build a long-lasting friendship with them."

Artistic as can be, Lauren also enjoys expressing her talent in many of our fun activities such as our well-received annual pumpkin patch painting!

Shelia Pate

New Patient Consultant/Trainer for New Assistants

Shelia is a perfectionist! She is a caring and cheerful assistant with 23 years of invaluable orthodontic experience, making her a key player in the assistant training program.

When looking for a new workplace, she says "this office far exceeded my expectations for its level of organization, communication and appreciation for quality work."

"Dr. Ossi continuously invests in the most advanced technology to better care for our patients. He also invests in staff's up-to-date training so we can excel in our career."

Amy Walker

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Amy has been an orthodontic assistant for 15 years. She is dynamic and uplifting and will make you laugh no matter what; she says "it's good for the soul!"

Without a question she says she would bring her children to Dr. Ossi "for he is a caring doctor thoroughly involved in every patient's treatment. He has earned a lot of respect among his patients and the parents in our community."

Kim Merckling

Certified Orthodontic Assistant/Lab Technician

Kim is a dependable assistant who values the fulfillment that orthodontics provides. When asked what she likes about her job, she stated "I love the fact that I am helping patients achieve what for me was a life-changing experience!"

Kim likes the way Dr. Ossi treats his patients and states "I can only hope that my children have doctors as wonderful as Dr. Ossi is with his patients, which means that he treats them wonderfully."

Missy Nelson

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Missy is the newest member to our team who is characterized by her energy and spark. She enjoys working in orthodontics since she feels that "a smile lasts a lifetime and a person's experience at OSSI Orthodontics is a positive one that they will remember forever. At this office all patients are given special attention by Dr. Ossi, from the first one of the day until the very last one".

With dental issues of her own, Missy understands the impact braces can have on one's life and can relate directly to the patients since she is also a patient at OSSI Orthodontics.

Marie Louise Ossi

Director of Business and Continuous Improvement

Marie Louise has been with OSSI Orthodontics for about two years. She is very analytical and practical at the same time, viewing orthodontics from a different perspective - an engineering one!

She has a Master of Science in biochemical engineering from Texas A&M University and worked at Frito Lay Technology on equipment process design for five years before moving to Jacksonville. "Although my previous and current jobs are quite different, they share one common goal: To exceed customer expectations, not just satisfy them. At OSSI Orthodontics we are actively searching for ways to provide our patients with the best care that they could imagine!"
